Mountain Climbing in Kenya and Tanzania

We take you to Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro which stands on featureless part of the East African plateau, on the Tanzanian side of the Kenya border near Moshi, side by side with the smaller Mount Meru. Mount Kenya Climbing |
Package 1 Departure from Nairobi is at 09.00 hrs. to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight. After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to Old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight (4 to 6 hrs. hike) Hike to Shipton's camp (4200m ) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike) Attempt, to Point Lenana (4895 m) at 03.00 hrs. and descend leisurely to met section. Dinner and overnight. Descend the mountain to Naro Moru town with transfer back to Nairobi.

Package 2
Departure from Nairobi is at 09.00 hrs. to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight. After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to Old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight (4 to 6 hrs. hike) Hike to Shipton's camp (4200m ) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike) Attempt to Point Lenana lunch enroute (4985 m ) and descend to mintos hut for overnight. Hike leisurely to Chogoria park gate (3020 m) for overnight. Descend leisurely to Chogoria town for transfer back to Nairobi.

Leave Nairobi for Arusha by a tourist shuttle bus via Namanga. Arrive in time for lunch afternoon leisure dinner and overnight at hotel. After breakfast go to marangu gate then on to umbwe village where you start the climb. Climb for 4hrs to the caves 2800m above the sea level. After breakfast, ascend to moorland camp and by mid after noon be at the borronco hut. A 4hr walk at the foot of the glacier then a leisurely afternoon and evening watching the sun set behind Mt. Meru. Climbing up the steep slope and on to the frozen lava on the tottering wall then camp at the crater rim of Kilimanjaro. Start for the summit in the morning first getting to stella point and then to uhuru peak (5,896m) There are several ways to descend from this point, The mweka hut will take about 6 hrs. the marangu route is easier and longer. From mweka hut to mweka gate takes 3hrs, horombo marangu will take 6hrs. Drive to arusha for hot shower dinner and warm bed. From arusha head for Nairobi arriving in the evening.
