DAY 2 NANYUKI - OLD MOSES CAMP

After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to Old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight (4 to 6 hrs. hike)

DAY 3 OLD MOSES - SHIPTON'S CAMP

Hike to Shipton's camp (4200m ) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike)

DAY 4 SHIPTON'S CAMP - POINT LENANA

Attempt, to Point Lenana (4895 m) at 03.00 hrs. and descend leisurely to met section. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 MET. STATION - NAIROBI

Descend the mountain to Naro Moru town with transfer back to Nairobi.

Hike leisurely to Chogoria park gate (3020 m) for overnight.

DAY 6 PARK GATE - NAIROBI

Descend leisurely to Chogoria town for transfer back to Nairobi.

Package 1(NAMANGA ROUTE) |

Day 1: Nairobi-Arusha

Leave Nairobi for Arusha by a tourist shuttle bus via Namanga. Arrive in time for lunch afternoon leisure dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Arusha – Lava caves

After breakfast go to marangu gate then on to umbwe village where you start the climb. Climb for 4hrs to the caves 2800m above the sea level.

Day 3: Lava cave – Barranco hut

After breakfast, ascend to moorland camp and by mid after noon be at the borronco hut.

Day 4: Barranco hut– Arrow glacier

A 4hr walk at the foot of the glacier then a leisurely afternoon and evening watching the sun set behind Mt. Meru.

Day 5: Arrow Glacier– Ki8llimanjaro craterim

Climbing up the steep slope and on to the frozen lava on the tottering wall then camp at the crater rim of Kilimanjaro.

Day 6: Killimanjaro craterim / Horrombo hut

Start for the summit in the morning first getting to stella point and then to uhuru peak (5,896m) There are several ways to descend from this point, The mweka hut will take about 6 hrs. the marangu route is easier and longer.

Day 7: Horombo – Arusha

From mweka hut to mweka gate takes 3hrs, horombo marangu will take 6hrs. Drive to arusha for hot shower dinner and warm bed.

Day 8: Arusha- Nairobi

From arusha head for Nairobi arriving in the evening

Package 2 (MARANGU ROUTE)|

Day 1:Nairobi - Moshi

Arrive namanga border town at 10.00hrs.continue to arusha for immigration formalities.drive to moshi wherte the aftetnoon organizing climbing gear.dinner and overnightat hotel in arusha or moshi

Day 2:Moshi - Mandara Hut

After breakfast,drive 45 kms to marangu gate an altitude of 1,860m.walk to mandara hut,2,744m (9,OOft) through dense semi tropical rain forest,for your 4 first overnight on Ki1imanjaro.meals and overnight at thev hut.

Day 3:Mandara - Horombo Hut

Start early morning for a ten hours walk towards horombo.the landscape becomes mare rugged and rocky but Superb,bbth mawemi and kibo peaks in view.you spend your second night at the mountain at horombo hut,an altitude of 3,767m(12,335ft).

Day 4:Horombo Hut - Kibo Hut

Take a tlring 13km drive which takes you to kibo hut 4,732m (15,520ft) above sea level.spectacu1ar mountain vegetation like giants cactus,grounds well and lobelia appear.meals and overnight at the hut.

Day 5:Kibo Hut - Uhuru Peak - Horombo Hut

The final attempt to the summit is made in the early hours of the morning at 2.00am. It takes about 5 hours to climb the steepest and most difficult part of the route to gihnan's point (5,681m) 18,630R From Oilman's take om and half hours to Uhuru peak, 8,896m (19,344ft). Descend to Horombo for dineer and overnight.

Day 6:Horombo Hut - Moshi

Descent is rapid. After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch, then to Nairobi via Namanga boarder town arriving early in the evening.

Day 7:Moshi - Nairobi

After breakfast leave by morning shuttle to arrive Nairobi early afttarnoon.

Package 3 (MACHAME ROUTE)|

Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha

Pick up at Nairobi hotel at 0700hn - O8OOhrs. leave for Arusha by a tourist shuttle bus via Namanga boarder town. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 2:Arusha - Machame

Drive to Madame village. The climb begins at the end of the tarmac road. Walk through the sbamba and the farest the Machame hut (30OUm) in about f3 hours. (Dinner and overnight tent).

Day 3: Machame - Shira

Day 4: Shira - Barranco

Cross the village and cont~nue along the steep ridge on b rock ridges and through heathen. The route turns west into a river gauge, reaching Shira hut (3800m). Dinner gnd overnight in tents.

Day 5: Barranco - Barafu

From Barranco a steep rocky climb,passing the Barranco wall,then up and down until; you come to Karanga Valley and then on to Darafu hut(4600m) Dinner and Overnight in tents.

Day 5: Barafu - Mweka - Horombo

Very early start for the summit first to Stella point and then to Uhuru peak (5,896KM). There are thraugh ways to descend on this route-Marangu or Mweka. The Mweka hut will take about 6 hours. The route is steep but picturesque. The Marangu route- Uhuru-kibo-Horombo is the main route. It is easier but can be dusty and busy. It is also longer.

Day 7: Mweka - Horombo - Arusha

Mweka hut to Mweka gate will take about 3 hours. Horombo Marangu gate will take about 6 hours. Drive to Arusha for hot showers dinner and warm bed

Package 4 ( MOUNT MERU)|

Mt Meru in Arusha National Park has an attitude of 4566m and is the second highest mountain in Tanzania. This mountain is dormant volcano and it offers a magnificent view of the imposing Mt. Kilimanjaro and the specular RiftValley for visitors who climb Mt. Meru. Also the area hosts very big variety of species of birds both residents and migrant, the best months are September and April for the migrant birds to be seen. of the local pubs. Dinner and overnight in a hotel (budget).

Day 1

Transfers to Momella gate (alt. 2lOOm) for the registration of the climb, thereafter start climbing up to the Mariamkamba hut (alt. 2541m) for dinner.

Day 2

Climbins to the big valley then to saddle hut (an. 3570m) later back to saddle hut for dinner and overnight. A hike up to the Mt. Meru is done in the afternoon hours.

Day 3

Finaal scent to the Meru peak (a1t.4566m)d escends down to saddle hut then to Mariamkamba hut for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Walk slowly to Momella gate arriving by 10:30 are and transfers to Arusha.

DAY 1: NAIROBI- ARUSHA

Leave Nairobi for Arusha by Shuttle bus arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon spent at leisure and shopping for the provisions needed for the mountain. Dinner and overnight in an Arusha hotel.

DAY 2: ARUSEA - LAVA CAVES

Breakfast, transfer to Marangu gate and then to Umbwe village to start to climb. Climb for four hours through the rain forest to camp at the caves 2800m above the sea leave.

DAY 3: LAVA CAVES - BARRANCO HUT

After breakfast, continue ascending along a sharp ridge, giving a distinct high mountain feelings, then unto the Morrland Camp and by mid afternoon stay at Barroco hut 3900cm.

DAY 4: BARRANCO HUT - ARROW CLAUER

A four hour walk past enormous breach wall to camp at the foot of the Arrow Glacier. A leisurely afternoon and evening, acclimatizing at around 4900m and watching the sunset behind Mt. Meru.

DAY 5: ARROW GLACIER - KILIMANJARO CRATER RIM

Climbing the same steep scrambling up the screes and across the frozen lava on the tottering wall. We camp on the stunning crater rim of Kilimajaro.

DAY 6: KILIMANJARO CRATER - HOROMBO HUT
